Building a Campaign with Mass Appeal and Valuable Engagements with Fiverr and The Old Gays
How We Partnered With Fiverr
We worked with Fiverr to show off how the brand is inclusive and celebrates a variety of cultural moments around the world. Fiverr asked us to help them create and implement a campaign designed to celebrate LGBTQ+ community.
Campaign Ideation
Our team curated a brainstorming session around Pride Month to identify a creative and strategic campaign concept aimed at showcasing the talent and caliber of freelancers available through the Fiverr platform, while supporting and empowering the LGBTQ+ community.
We landed on having an influencer create a children’s book showcasing talented Fiverr freelancers specializing in writing & illustration – while showing children the value of celebrating differences in sexual identity, rather than hiding it. The book was free to the public and available for download on the Fiverr website. This drove traffic to the Fiverr platform, earning valuable brand engagement, while also educating the public and celebrating a cause the brand cares about.

CAMPAIGN Process
We worked quickly to identify an influencer who had the availability and appropriate audience. We were able to identify and partner with TikTok sensation The Old Gays due to their expansive reach, creative approach to content, and relatability and positive sentiment within their community. With the Old Gays’ audience, primarily being on Instagram and TikTok, we took the opportunity to layer cross-platform deliverables with a paid social component to help maximize the results of the campaign throughout the month of June.
Because of the multiple parties involved in this campaign, we created a workback plan with key dates and deadlines that would need to be met in order to guarantee success. The deadlines applied to all parties involved which included the creators, freelancers, Fiverr and The Outloud Group. This lockstep approach allowed us to track progress step-by-step so that we could proactively implement solutions to avoid falling behind schedule.
Our team managed communication between the Old Gays and the Fiverr freelancers, ensuring that both parties were continuously on the same page around what the characters looked like, the topic of the book, and timeframe. We strategically had The Old Gays deliver a “sneak peek” TikTok before the book was downloadable and then once the landing page was launched on Fiverr’s website, we had them do a TikTok where each of them read a part from their character’s role in the book.
Campaign Results
Although we are unable to share download metrics both Fiverr and The Old Gays were thrilled by the success of the campaign.
